Not much to talk about today but the last time we weren't able to post the day's events, we got heaps of emails checking we were OK. Not doing that again.
Spent most of the day wandering up and down the strip looking through some of the casinos and at the things they have inside to attract people. Particular ones to mention are the Venetian which, as made obvious by the name, has a Venice, Italy based theme. Inside on the second floor is a canal with gondolas. The gondolas give rides around the shopping area across the second floor. In the photos, check out the blue clouded sky over the building then realise it is not the sky but a painted ceiling over the sections on the internal building which have been made with tiled roofs to look like an actual building. Fantastic vision.
Another was the Flamingo which has an outside section called The Habitat, which contains couple of bars, its signature Flamingos and a number of exotic ducks, turtles, fish and pelicans.
We checked out options for shows and purchased and collected the show tickets ready for tonight. A bit of a rest and refresh this afternoon after spending the morning walking up and down the strip, carried out some preparations for heading out again tomorrow then off to a dinner and a show.
We've been getting used to tipping and while I don't particularly like some of the attitudes toward tipping and in some case the suggested level of tip, I can assure you that it works as far as I'm concerned with the wait staff attitude toward the customer and the manner in which the service is provided. We've had some really good wait staff over the past weeks and it's easy to tip when it is deserved.
Back on the road tomorrow continuing west into California.
